I'm almost signing up a new LRF or TBO car, but we would really really like to see more of them.

Come on people, we need more non-GTR cars!

Sorry.

I just got extremely lucky in this race, people were having all sorts of issues when close to me. That's scary...

Finished 34th. Next time I start since the first race!

That was pretty fun, congrats to the winners! And congrats to us!

Let me post my thoughts now that things got a bit more calm..

1) Congrats to Lewis for the WDC. It doesn't really matter now if he deserved or not, if it was close or not, if he was losing it 400m from the finish line, he won it. He's the one they'll try to beat now.
2) Congrats to Ferrari for the WCC. Solid race for Massa, in all conditions. He did what he could, didn't really depend on him this time. Better lucky next time, I guess.
3) Solid race for Alonso, again. I really hope Renault build a winner car next season, that guy deserves to be fighting for the title.
4) Extra-solid race for Vettel. Putting pressure on Massa on dry track? Overtaking and pulling away from Hamilton on wet track? Amazing stuff, get him a better car next year!
5) Kimi normal.
6) Trulli poor.
7) Glock did well. Poor guy said he thinks the brazilians won't treat him nicely anymore - I fear he's right.
8) BMWs and Kovalainen: pfft.
9) Thank you David Coulthard.

I'm really excited for next season. In theory there's a lot of possible WDC contenders: Hamilton, Massa, Raikkonen, Alonso, Kubica... maybe Kovalainen and Heidfeld! Plus the surprises!

Good fun. Qualified 9th I think but had to throw away my probable pb in qualify because someone nearly spun in front of me and kept driving in the racing line.

The race was better. Started with a full tank, wich in my mind would make me slow when the grid was close/slow and fast when I'd have a clear track. Things started nicely as I was able to pass James at the start and the T1 incident made me go up another 2 places, so I was in 6th before the first split.

James was putting a lot of pressure while I was trying to keep close to Gentlefoot for the next laps. I even tried something after the chicane but he defended well and eventually got away. In the meantime James and Alain started to fight behind me, something that I was happy about. But Alain was having some handling issues and made an off-road trip at the last corner.

No need to say James was sneaking behind me in no time, and passed me after I screwed the chicane exit. But he spun right after, at T1, something I missed for a few inches. Oddly enough, Gentlefoot did the same 3 corners later. Want more? Blackbird did the same 1 lap later.

4th place, free track, it was time to speed things up a bit. But seems like Laudi had another plans. He started putting some pressure, and after some laps he finally passed and built some gap. I followed him untill he got stuck behind a backmarker, and that nearly ended up nasty for both of them. I was again close to him, and after another fight, I was able to pass a couple of laps later.

From there on - lap 22 -, my race was lonely. Was around 10s behind Storm Cloud and trying to keep the gap that way, because getting close to him is still impossible for me. Fortunately I was going faster than those behind me.

By the time I pitted at lap 37, Storm was ~12s ahead and Blackbird ~18s behind, so things were looking good. But I forgot the repair damage option on, and that really started to worry me when my pit was taking too long to end - specially because of Kringle, he was already behind Blackbird and going pretty fast. But heh, he ran out of fuel in 3 laps later...

My only concern was Blackbird, but I managed to stay ahead of him after my pit. Then Storm Cloud left, and it was all calm to me untill the finish line. Managed to keep the same pace as Define and even got a bit closer, wich made me happy given the fast driver he is (he was probably taking it easy, but who cares ). Had my Hamilton moment though, puncture last corner, hit the wall, spin on main straight, and nearly lost the 3rd place to Blackbird. Good stuff in general, enjoyed racing with you guys again.

Holy crap, this post became a bit long I guess....

Hmm it's raining in the track right now and judging by the heavy clouds, it won't stop so soon...

Beware the little river at T3 (curva do sol/sun's corner)! Last time there was a car park there after the race.

Quote from MR_B :Important Question, any live webcams of the interlagos/sao paulo area so we can get a constant idea of the weather???[/B] Would like to know whether it's a wet start to the race or dry!!!

I'm around 400km from there. It's pretty far when it comes to weather, but all forecasts say something like showers at afternoon and night, and it's been like this since tuesday around here... If it's going to rain during the race is hard to tell, but it's probably going to rain this sunday (São Paulo's summer = rain).

About Hamilton: Trulli-train ahead waiting for him, Kimi by his side saying "try me" and Alonso behind wanting one inch to try to pass.

Looks like Ferrari has a strong car again around here. Massa should be able to win without any problems, and Kimi to finish second.

So in my opinion it all depends on Lewis really. But it's an easy job, a cruise through Interlagos should be enough to put him in the top 5.

But that's considering no rain and no crazy stuff. And I really think we'll have both.

It is plastic. Some kind of vegetal plastic made with alcohol because FIA cares about the world and stuff. *cough*

Quote from de Souza :Just saw the winner's trophy, it's designed by Oscar Niemeyer using a "green plastic". I'll try to find some pictures tomorrow when it's oficially presented.

Clicky.

Edit: Cool, the checkered will be held by Anthony Hamilton if Lewis wins the WDC - or Titônio Massa if Felipe gets it.

Oh I love this track. As I don't care for Felipe or Lewis, I hope the best of them wins and we don't have any dirty moves from any of the parts involved. Rain would be interesting.

On a side note, lol @ the track map. "Reta oposta" means "back straight", so... yeah... it's not a corner.

^^ Sounds good.

I was thinking about the single seaters... I mean, is there any single seater league/event in the world with driver swapping? If not, why?

I don't remember the older photos in the main page of the website to know if it's normal, but shouldn't it have a photo of São Paulo/Interlagos instead of Rio de Janeiro?

I couldn't care less as well, it's just that I have nothing better to do.

Quote from chanoman315 :We change timezone at the moment of the race.... does that affect?

Worst thing that can happen is the race to start 1 hour earlier or later for you. If the timezone changes during the race it won't make any difference, you'll still have to race 16 hours.
